Globally celebrated chefs, seasoned with years of experience, are the driving force behind Hilton Saigon’s exquisite and multifaceted dining options.
Hilton has recently opened the grand Hilton Saigon Hotel in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. Within its walls, the system of four restaurants at Hilton Saigon offers unique, distinctive, and diverse dining options to its guests. The hotel features four separate culinary styles designed to highlight and honor the rich flavors of Vietnam as well as international cuisine. Whether at Me Linh Lounge, The Strand restaurant, or the soon-to-open Chinese restaurant Residence Eleven, guests can discover fresh and memorable culinary experiences. Meanwhile, at Song Bar, slated to open in the latter half of the year, you can unwind with light bites, fine wines, and enjoy entertainment.
The culinary masterminds behind Hilton Saigon’s exceptional dining experiences are two chefs with extensive experience at top hotels, a wealth of expertise, and a deep-seated love for people and Vietnamese cuisine.
Head Chef Kasdi Dahari boasts 28 years of culinary expertise, previously serving as Head Chef at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah. Notably, this culinary maestro was personally invited by the UAE Government to prepare a royal banquet for His Majesty Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, the King of Malaysia, during his visit to the UAE. In January 2022, at the Dubai World Expo, he was selected to oversee the nationwide banquet for the Prime Minister of Malaysia, alongside a host of remarkable achievements including being named among the Top 50 Executive Chefs in the Middle East and receiving the Dubai Star Green Award for culinary innovation and sustainable practices in 2022…
The diverse ingredients from the North to the South or the Mekong Delta region have become an endless source of inspiration, a primary reason for executive chef Kasdi Dahari to join Hilton Saigon. Additionally, he seeks the opportunity to mentor young Vietnamese chefs at Hilton Saigon to become internationally acclaimed culinary professionals. He affirms that the young chefs at Hilton Saigon are all hardworking and eager to embrace new experiences.
“Beyond offering culinary excellence in Hilton Saigon, I aspire to elevate local cuisine to new heights, adhering to Hilton’s standards” Chef Kasdi Dahari declares.
Highlighting the abundance and variety of Vietnamese ingredients, this executive chef has expressed his deep appreciation for them. This serves as the inspiration for crafting the most exquisite dishes at Hilton.
“I strive to bring the finest of Vietnam to our diners. From lobster to chocolate, we meticulously select the top-notch products from various regions across the country. We not only do business but also support the local community”.
Adding another layer of culinary distinction to Hilton Saigon is Pastry Chef Bui Thi Quynh, with 20 years of experience working in various renowned hotels. The pastries at Hilton Saigon are not just desserts; they are infused with life by Chef Quynh through her fresh, unique ideas and a strong sense of aesthetics. Her journey is one of intelligent, skillful women who tirelessly strive to perfect their craft.
Returning to Vietnam in 2020 from the Middle East, Chef Quỳnh noticed that Vietnamese people were increasingly favoring less sweet pastries, which are healthier. Therefore, she adjusted her recipes to better suit the taste preferences of the Vietnamese.
“My team and I have created sweet treats for guests to enjoy, which are not only delicious but also healthy, serving as the perfect final touch to a memorable dining experience at Hilton Saigon.”
Chef Quynh draws inspiration from the simple joys of life, particularly the warmth and togetherness of family gatherings. This passion fuels her desire to create a culinary space where everyone, from the elderly to the young, will love the dishes at Hilton Saigon.
Ms. Dieu Anh, a diner who experienced The Strand restaurant, expressed her fondness for the fresh seafood and enticing desserts available. “At The Strand, the variety of dishes may not overwhelm you, but the quality of the food will leave you in awe,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Steve Dang, an overseas Vietnamese, commented that the taste of Vietnamese dishes at Hilton Saigon brings him the warmth of family meals that he fondly misses from afar.
